Supper Club- Holiday Celebration 2008

I guess I am officially a grown up (not sure I like the sound of that) when I host a party that has a live piano player accompanied by a saxaphone. Anyhoo, this was the case at our Holiday Supper Club hosted specifically by me and Floyd, Don and Romney Brock, Frances and Will Knight and Reese and Allison Pillow. Usually our supper club works like this... We have 12 couples in our group. We pair off and host a meal at one of the homes of the 2 hosts every other month. We draw names to pair off and draw months to see where you fall. The Supper Club originated with the intent or excuse rather to break out the fine china, crystal and silver and have a sit down gourmet meal. With the day and time we live in (everyone works and is so so busy with kids,etc....) the occasions to use your finery on a regular basis are few and far between. So, thus developed our Supper Club. However, Floyd and I were to originally host in June/July but with the chaotic summer schedules, us moving and hot temps we decided to wait and double up for a larger throwdown during the Holiday Season. I must say that a good time was had by all.
