Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter!

Wow, look what the Easter Bunny brought us! He must have known we are growing out of nearly everything we own clotheswise!

Cool! That new Ole Miss book I've been wanting! Thanks Easter Bunny!

Easter Egg Hunts

Our home/yard was the location for several Easter egg hunts this season. We had the Pillow Academy 3rd grade hunt followed by the First Presbyterian Church's Easter egg hunt on Good Friday. Thankfully April has not brought many showers thus far so the weather has been quite remarkable. Here are a few pics from each:

Palm Sunday

On Palm Sunday Floyd and Anne Craig sang with their chorister's group in church. They did really really well and I think they both really like to sing so we'll see where that takes us! Right? Anne Craig is front and center and Floyd is far right.

Deer Valley 2010

This Spring Break, Papa and Jane took all of their children and grandchildren snowskiing to Deer Valley, Utah. This is fast becoming a family tradition for us with this being our second year and the planning for next year is underway. We stayed in the same family friendly 5 bedroom condo complete with pool table and hot tub. We had a great time and the weather was awesome! Here are a few pics from the trip and since I'm so behind on everything it seems I will cut this post short and let the pictures tell the trip.

We all wore helmets this year and loved it! It was great for warmth and very very comfy!

Ski School is not so bad right??

Snaggle Tooth!

During our Spring Break ski trip to Deer Valley this year, Anne Craig lost her first upper incisor tooth! It's amazing how the tooth fairy can find us even out in Utah! Anne Craig was most impressed but not too impressed b/c she somehow managed to lose the FIVE dollars the tooth fairy brought her before we made it home to Mississippi! She was worried not.
Now you see it.....

Now you don't......

Over The River and Through the Woods to Gooddaddy's Beach We Go....Woo!

I'm so terribly behind on the recent happenings with the Floyd Melton Family that I'm going to try to keep my typing brief and just upload pics and comment as best I can. The first weekend of Spring Break we took Gooddaddy to the coast to meet his newest Great Grandson, Stephen, and to enjoy a few days at Perdido with all of us!

The Delta Dynamos

Floyd's D2 soccer team competed in a U10 Tournament this past weekend in Oxford called the "April Ambush". It was a fabulous weekend weather wise so it was perfect to be outside soaking up some soccer. The Sports Complex that Oxford has in amazing. No wait, I think stellar would be a better word. It's a wonder what can be done with public dollars when everyone has the same agenda and direction for the future....THE KIDS...We are not so lucky here in Greenwood, MS...BUT "with every new day there's fresh hope" (Ellen Griswold quote)
The boys played well and lost in the semi finals. Here's their picture that was taken for the newspaper. The players are.....
Back Row L to R: Harris Long, Logan Harvey, John Hollis Tackett, Ben Brasher, and Smith Lyon. Front Row: L to R: Floyd Melton IV, Landon Tillman, Chaz Trost, and Cade Smith.
